Neck, shoulder, knee, and rib injuries from jiu-jitsu, wrestling, MMA, and striking. Treated by a PT and athletic trainer who keeps you on the mat whenever it's safe.
Cranks, chokes, stacking, and kimuras. Neck and shoulder injuries treated by someone who knows the positions.
Heel hooks, armbars, scrambles, and pressure passing. Rehab that builds you back for the mat.
A modified plan so you keep drilling while you heal, then a step-by-step return to rolling and sparring.
I started as an athletic trainer in 1999 and became a licensed physical therapist in 2002. For more than 20 years I've treated orthopedic and sports injuries, from post-op knees and shoulders to athletes working their way back to the field, the mat, or the court. I opened Bespoke because the insurance-driven model doesn't leave time to do this job right. Here, every session is one-on-one with me. I assess how you move, not just where it hurts, and build the plan around what you need to get back to.

SFMA and FMS testing show the movement problem behind the symptom.

Dry needling, manual therapy, and targeted loading, chosen for your case.

Measurable goals at every phase, ending with a full return to your sport or activity.

Grappling and striking put the body in positions most clinicians never think about: neck cranks from stacking and guillotines, shoulders caught in kimuras, knees twisted in heel hooks and scrambles, ribs crushed under side control. Generic rehab tells you to stop training. At Bespoke, the goal is to keep you on the mat whenever it's safe, and get you back to full rolling and sparring when it isn't.
Care is one-on-one with Lou Campasano, PT, ATC, a licensed physical therapist since 2002 and certified athletic trainer since 1999, with dry needling, SFMA, and FMS certifications. He understands the positions, the training culture, and what "I can still drill, just not roll" actually means.
Brazilian jiu-jitsu (gi and no-gi), wrestling, judo, MMA, boxing, kickboxing, and Muay Thai athletes, from hobbyists training a few nights a week to competitors with a tournament on the calendar.
Assess the movement, not just the pain. SFMA and FMS testing show what's driving the problem and what you can safely keep doing.
Keep you training. Most athletes get a modified plan: positions to avoid, what to drill, and when to start rolling again, instead of a blanket "take six weeks off."
Treat hands-on. Dry needling, manual therapy, and targeted loading to calm pain and restore motion.
Build it back for the mat. Strength and control in the positions your sport demands, then a step-by-step return to live rolling, sparring, and competition.
Usually not completely. Most athletes keep training with modifications, like drilling instead of live rolling or avoiding certain positions, while we treat the injury. You'll get a clear plan for what's safe.
It depends on the injury and your symptoms. Many neck strains allow a return to light rolling within a few weeks, while injuries with arm numbness or weakness need a slower, more careful progression. Arm weakness or numbness should be checked promptly.
Yes. We assess the knee, work with your physician if imaging or surgery is needed, and guide rehab through to a tested return to grappling.
Yes, including fighters preparing for competition and athletes recovering from concussion who need a graded return to sparring.
